At last, Roar’s great Dane fit

THE good news for Brisbane Roar is that Danish enforcer Thomas Kristensen has finally hit his straps – the bad news is that it may have come too late to save their A-League season.

Dogged by hamstring, back and neck problems, Kristensen had made just 12 appearances this season, and in a number of them he was not fully fit.

It’s only now that the 34year-old midfielder believes he’s hitting top form.

Roar have just five regular season games remaining – starting with Saturday night’s away clash against competition leaders Sydney FC – and are four points outside of the top six.
