Pell claims on ski trip

ONE of Cardinal George Pell’s accusers alleges Australia’s now highest-ranked Catholic abused him during a waterskiing outing.

The man also alleged he was abused by a second clergy member, his father told a court hearing.

Pell is charged with multiple historical sex offences involving multiple complainants and is fighting the charges at a committal hearing that will determine if he stands trial. The court has not released details about the charges.

The hearing was adjourned until Monday after the magistrate took leave upon the sudden death of a colleague yesterday.
