SUMMARY

Today should mark a low-point in wave-activity as leftover S groundswel­l mixes with slight E tradewind swell at 1 to 2ft. A building trend in SE/ESE tradewind swell follows from tomorrow onwards; speculativ­ely peaking in the 3 to 4ft range mid to late next week, with plenty more to come next weekend.

TODAY

Smaller mix of E and SSE swells. Mostly 1 to 2ft+ across southern Queensland coasts, similar south of the border. WIND: Early light WNW to NW 5 to 10 knots, tending ENE around 10 to 12 knots during the arvo.

TOMORROW

Short period ESE tradewind swell up to 1 to 2ft+ exposed breaks, wrapping in at tiny levels inside the points and bays. WIND: Early light and variable to WNW tending E up to 5 to 15 knots during the day and ESE 10 to 15 knots later.

WEDNESDAY

Rising ESE swell. Ranging from 2 to 3ft exposed breaks early, building to 3 to 4ft later. Wrapping at lower levels inside the points, bays. WIND: Lighter SSW inshore tending SE, 15 to 25 knots.
