MASTERS favourite Tiger Woods will need one of his vintage Sunday performances at the Arnold Palmer Invitational if he is to break a US PGA Tour win drought of almost five years.

Woods mixed six birdies with three bogeys during a three-underpar 69 during the third round at Bay Hill and at seven-under has left himself five shots back of leader Henrik Stenson. Stenson, 41, posted a 71 to move to 12-under and he will take a one- shot cushion into the final round over Bryson DeChambeau (72). ROGER Federer found his way back to reach his eighth final at the Indian Wells Masters, beating Croatian Borna Coric 5-7 6-4 6-4.

Federer stands 17-0 to start the season for the first time in his career.

The Swiss maestro had to work in challenging and windy conditions on Saturday – in addition to a relatively unorthodox 11am start – which he will face again on Sunday in the title match against Juan Martin del Potro.

The Argentine set up a re-run of the 2009 US Open final. LEBRON James scored 33 points as part of a triple-double, Jordan Clarkson had a tiebreaking four-point play with 1:27 left and Cleveland beat Chicago 114-109 on Saturday night.

James had 12 rebounds and 12 assists for his 15th triple-double of the season, and Jeff Green added 21 points. Clarkson finished with 19 points to help the Cavaliers salvage a six-game split on their season-high six-game trip. Denzel Valentine led Chicago with a career-high 34 points, hitting 8 of 11 from long range.
