Volunteers’ park perk

COMMONWEALTH Games athletes and volunteers will receive free access to all four Village Roadshow theme parks during the games, the premier announced yesterday.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said any athlete or volunteer can visit Sea World, Movie World, Wet’n’Wild and Paradise Country free of charge between April 4 to 15.

“We want to make sure the 600,000 visitors who come to Queensland for the Games return in years to come,” she said. “A big part of that revolves around partnering with local businesses to make sure athletes have a great experience while they’re here and share that with millions of people.”
