Waterways MP stoush
BROADWATER MP David Crisafulli has targeted Transport Minister Mark Bailey about a new appointment to the Gold Coast Waterways Authority.
“Can the Minister guarantee that he has not forwarded on the name of another handpicked union choice?” Mr Crisafulli asked Mr Bailey during Question Time yesterday.
Mr Bailey defended the appointment of Loretta Lynch, who has 25 years of experience in the transport and construction industry along with key involvement in managing the light rail.
He described Ms Lynch as “somebody with corporate credentials who will make a strong contribution to the Gold Coast Waterways Authority”.
“She was appointed in the appropriate way under my ministerial responsibilities.”
Outside the Parliament, Mr Crisafulli said there was a “massive cloud” hanging above Mr Bailey’s head due to the way he handled his private email account.
