Bus mum a no-show
A MOTHER whose five-yearold daughter fell asleep on her school bus, sparking a widespread police search, did not appear at Beaudesert Magistrates Court yesterday and was refused legal aid.
Bobbie-Jo Langdon has been charged with three counts of stealing, and one count each of possessing a dangerous drug, possessing a drug utensil and failing to dispose of a needle.
The matter has been adjourned until May 1 and Ms Langdon has been requested to appear at Beaudesert Court.
The charges come after her five-year-old daughter, Alyssa Jayde New, failed to get off a bus after her first day of Year 1 at Jimboomba State School, southwest of Brisbane. Police later found the girl had fallen asleep on the bus.
