Night Stalker was my friend until he touched my girl

-

FOR almost 30 years a dark-haired woman trusted Jason Juan Burr, until one day in November 2016 everything changed.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, trusted Burr so much she dated him as a teenager and after they broke up remained friends, including letting him spend time with her 13-year-old daughter.

The woman told the Bulletin she had been lying down for a headache while her daughter and Burr were in the next room one afternoon in November 2016. She said her daughter came in upset and told her how Burr had inappropriately touched her.

The woman went to police and it was from there Burr’s crimes began to unravel.

“Had I not charged him he would still be doing it today,” she said.

The woman said until her daughter spoke up she had not suspected Burr’s sexual violence.

“He was a nice guy.” She said she was thankful her daughter came to her so quickly.

The woman said she was not sure how to reconcile what Burr had done with the man she knew.

“I don’t know how to feel about it,” she said.

The woman said she just wanted to help her daughter move on.
