Jury still deliberating in ‘doctor’ trial

THE wait for a verdict in the trial of a Russian refugee who allegedly posed as a psychologist in Queensland hospitals will go into a third day.

The jury in the trial of Vincent Victor Berg was sent home yesterday after deliberating for the entire day at the Southport District Court.

Berg has pleaded not guilty to seven charges including three counts of fraud. The only development yesterday was a brief moment when the jury asked to have portions of Berg’s testimony relating to a fraudulent document he allegedly created read back to them.

The jury will resume deliberations from 9.30am today.
