Kodi flicks Benji switch

KODI Nikorima was 11 when Benji Marshall produced that flick pass.

You know the one. The moment of magic that inspired Wests Tigers’ 2005 premiership win. The pass that made the eyes in a young Nikorima light up and dream of a career in the NRL.

Tonight at Campbelltown Stadium, Nikorima’s worlds collide when he comes face to face with the Tigers’ evergreen wizard who has become both an idol and unlikely mentor for the Broncos halfback.

Marshall only enjoyed a 12month stint at the Broncos last season but he left a mark with young halves Nikorima and Anthony Milford.

“Benji really helped me and ‘Milf’,” said the maligned Nikorima, who turns 24 on Sunday week.
