Hornets to buzz Coast

TWO super hornets will fly over the Gold Coast this morning in a defence display ahead of the Commonwealth Games.

Queensland Police and the Australian Defence Force will hold a “capability demonstration” press conference for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games today at the Broadwater Parklands.

Two FA-18F Hornets will fly over the parklands at 10am.

The security briefing will also include demonstrations by the QPS dog squad and mounted unit, SERT officers and a counter unmanned aircraft system device (drone gun).
