LEO JUL 24 - AUG 23

A business in Silicon Valley is installing a ball pond in their office. Beanbag-covered open-plan workspaces are de rigueur in giant tech companies. They believe that creating a workplace philosophy which embraces creativity and play will translate into innovative ideas and greater success. You certainly can’t argue with their share prices. As the Sun converges with Mercury at the Full Moon, it’s how you work that makes the difference. If you keep an open mind, valuable inspiration will arrive.

At first glance that might seem like an uncomfortable combination. But the principle of constricted energy lies at the heart of internal combustion technology. This astrological combination can act as an emotional boiler-room that can power us forward. This is an engine that can drive us towards success. As long as we’re conscious of the environmental impact of our actions, it can carry us to wherever we need to go.

TAURUS APR 21 - MAY 21

It’s impossible to feel anything but intense discomfort when you’re torn in two different directions. On one hand, you’re enchanted by the idea of following a dream, on the other, your pragmatic side is telling you that your chances of success are small. This is affecting your attitude and your optimism. The truth is that the odds aren’t stacked against you. While your ruler converges with Uranus ahead of its return to your sign, a minor miracle or two is on the cards. Don’t rule out a major one either!

VIRGO AUG 24 - SEP 23

Stories about how the world was created differ from culture to culture and from faith to faith. Even if we could dig deep into the creation myths, the chances are that we’d never find the answer to the simplest of questions... like when the big bang occurred, or when the world was spoken into being, or how the spirits breathed life into the cosmos. We’ll never know why. You’re making important discoveries now. Even if they don’t give you the answer you’re looking for, they have values you can rely on.

CAPRICORN DEC 22 - JAN 20

Not long ago computers were spoken about in reverential tones. They were ‘super machines’ only accessible to great scientific minds and used to advance learning in medicine and mathematics. Nowadays we’ve all got one. And, we’ve learnt that when it comes to intelligence, people are cleverest. Humans can make a right decision even when we’ve been given incorrect information. If something or someone is telling you ‘no’, be empowered to override them. Your instincts are spot on.

GEMINI MAY 22 - JUN 22

We all know someone who seems to delight in picking fault with the people around them. We’ve all seen somebody actually going out of their way to disrupt other folks’ wellconstructed and happy plans. Fortunately, most people are not like that. Most of us are by nature kind, considerate and so happy to be helpful that we go out of our way to assist a stranger. So, since you’re in need of a little help right now, what’s wrong with asking someone for a hand? Practical generosity is on tap today.

EARTH HOUR CONCERT HOTA, Bundall

LET’S hope the planet was all ears. On Saturday night the outdoor entertainment arena at HOTA was again pressed into service, this time for a free concert to celebrate Earth Hour. The Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra swelled to over 100 musicians for the special performance which was live streamed around the globe. After the show, at the appointed hour, the area went dark in a symbolic gesture. Plato wrote that wise people talk because they have something to say, but fools talk because they have to say something. He must have been following the first part of his maxim! As Venus forms a conjunction with Uranus you’re questioning the concept of having to do certain tasks. Why do you have to do anything? Should you be applying restrictions to the way you’re living your life? A new-found creative freedom will open opportunities to do what makes you happy.

CANCER JUN 23 - JUL 23

‘Mummy what will be my name when I grow up?’ asked my four-year-old. ‘It’ll be the same as it is now darling,’ my wife replied ‘but you can change it when you’re a grown up it if you want to. ‘OK then, I’ll probably change it to Optimus Prime Cainer,’ he said (playing with his Transformer toys). You don’t need to change your name, but you can do something about your reputation. You don’t need to be defined by anyone or be limited by their expectations. Be true to yourself and there’s little you can’t achieve.
