Following in Borobi’s footsteps

-

COMMONWEALTH Games mascot Borobi continues to enjoy the spotlight with the opening today of a new ‘Borobi Fan Trail’ linking Games sites.

Visitors to the Gold Coast will be able to follow the trail, which according to GOLDOC Chairman Peter Beattie brings together culture and exercise ahead of the Opening Ceremony.

“We do want people out of their cars, we want people walking, we want people on bikes getting around the venues, going to the cultural centre,” Mr Beattie said.

The trail features ten lifesize sculptures of the Games mascot, each part of a new game on the GC2018 app.

The Borobi Fan Trail runs 8.5 kilometres from the Optus Aquatic Centre in Southport to Victoria Park in Broadbeach.
