MAYOR ADDS TO HOLDING

MAYOR Tom Tate quietly has had his chequebook out adding to the $3.3 million Sorrento property that’s been the mayoral estate since late 2015.

It’s emerged that Tom and wife Ruth, in the middle of last year, spent $1.5 million on 837sq m of riverfront land in Waterview Cres.

The land adjoins the 4424sq m riverfront site that accommodates the Tate mansion, previously home to the late Kelly Small, son of former mayor Sir Bruce Small.
