GOOD KARMA FOR BUYER
THE Chinese owners of a Southport highrise site, in what is a case of good karma, have an international tenant on the way – vehicle-rental giant Hertz.
They’ve been trying for six months to rent out the former Beaurepairs property on the corner of Garden and Suter streets, which cost them $6.38 million last year.
Now Hertz, via a company called Karma, has motored into the picture and plans to use the property, approved for a tower, as a vehicle yard.
