GOLDEN STORIES OF LITTLE MISSES

WHO knew there was a sisterhood of sashes? Good friends Karen Phillips and Catherine O’Sullivan were talking recently about their early lives. As it does, the talk turned to crowning glories and Karen mentioned that long ago she was once named as Miss Lady Finger as part of Murwillumbah’s famed Banana Festival. “I can top that,” laughed Catherine. “I was crowned Miss Fat and Stud Cattle way back when I was growing up in Stanthorpe.” Long may they reign!
