North Stradbroke Island: The swell and the strong south-easters have made the beach hard to fish. Try for chopper tailor on the northern side of Pt Lookout and along Flinders Beach.

Redland Bay: Bream, estuary cod and small snapper on the northern reef.

Moreton Bay: Bream and small snapper on the Northern Bay Islands. Jumpinin: Flathead and Whiting in Jacob’s Well Channel and flathead in the lower reaches of the Logan River.

Southport: Tailor, trevally and mulloway in Southport Seaway, flathead around Crab Island, sand crabs in Tippler’s Passage and mud crabs in the upper reaches of the Pimpama River. Currumbin: Flathead, bream and whiting in Currumbin and Tallebudgera Creeks, queenfish and trevally on surface lures in Palm Beach and Elanora Lakes. Tweed: Flathead, bream and whiting in the Tweed River.
