BIKIE BOSS STAB TAUNT

Ex Bandidos sword threat at standoff

- LEA EMERY

A FORMER bikie boss allegedly threatened to stab police with a sword if they did not shoot him during a standoff on the Gold Coast.

Brett “Kaos” Pechey has been put in a mental health unit following the incident and his lawyer says he cannot get “any information because he is considered a security risk”. He has been charged with a number of offences, including assaulting police. However, his lawyer says he will dispute “a number of factual matters”.

Pechey is a former president of the West End chapter of the Bandidos and came into prominence when he fled to Thailand after the infamous Broadbeach bikie brawl in 2013.

He returned in early 2015 after he began to run out of money. The 31-year-old re-emerged in late February when he was linked to an online feud with Ben “Notorious” Geppert, a former Hells Angels and Finks member.

THE former bikie boss who styles himself as “Kaos” has gone from a feared standover man to Instagram feuds with ex gang mates.

Brett Sole Pechey, 31, was the president of the West End chapter of the Bandidos before the Broadbeach bikie brawl in 2013 led to a police crackdown on bikie gangs.

Pechey’s heavily tattooed face made him one of the most recognisable bikies in relation to the brawl.

Unwilling to face this music, Pechey fled to Thailand.

He returned home after he began to run out of money and attempts to borrow $250,000 from his grandmother were unsuccessful.

Extortion charges he had been facing at the time were dropped after his return as the case had “weakened”.

While he was overseas, Pechey converted to Islam and on his lip has tattooed “Inshallah”, the Arabic word for “god willing”.

When he returned to Australia he was wearing the colours of Brothers 4 Life, a violent gang with links to Islam.

In 2016 he planned to spend $10,000 to remove some of his numerous tattoos.

At the time his tattoos included 13 on his Adams Apple, a swastika on his chest and “Brotherhood” on his chest.

Pechey more recently has become better known for his ongoing feud with Insta-famous bikie Ben “Notorious” Geppert, a former Hells Angels and Finks member. Geppert claimed Pechey is a “dog”, or police informant.
