Walking on to a team

JAYDA Anderson will compete for Queensland at the Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC) at Runaway Bay on April 28-29 after winning the state under-13 1500m racewalk title.

Jayda and training partner Kris Hayward are nine Gold Coast athletes selected on the 26-strong under-13 Queensland team.

“The state teams for ALACs are among the hardest and most coveted teams to be selected for,” coach Steve Langley said.
