HOW TO GET TO: CARRARA STADIUM FOR THE OPENING CEREMONY

TRAIN: Those travelling via train should travel to the Nerang train station where they can walk or shuttle to the stadium. Walking takes 24 minutes. Shuttle buses go every 8-9 minutes.

•UBER/TAXI: Ubers and taxis can go to the stadium. Drop-off points are a short walk. Games security and volunteers will be in position to advise drivers.

BUS: Buses will head to the opening ceremony from areas across the Coast. They all run every seven to 15 minutes, depending on the departure location. But main bus stops will be the Nerang train station or the Riverside Home Caravan Park, where passengers will have to walk (up to 24 minutes.)

TRAM: Those coming from Parkwood can tram every seven minutes to Helensvale Station where they can then get a train to Nerang (which departs every half an hour.) Those tramming to Broadbeach can get the Route 745 bus to the Riverside Home Caravan Park Carrara (every seven minutes) and walk 19 minutes to the station.

DRIVING: A park’n’ride facility will be available for ticket holders on Smith St near the Parkwood tram station. Another is available at Millaroo Drive, Helensvale. Parking is available at all train stations. No parking will be available near the stadium.
