Fuse lit on Taumalolo

-

COWBOYS coach Paul Green is hopeful star forward Jason Taumalolo will fire up on Saturday in the absence of monster prop Jordan McLean.

McLean had surgery on Monday for a foot injury, with the new recruit expected to be out for at least three months.

Green yesterday named Scott Bolton to start in McLean’s place against the Warriors, with Corey Jensen added to the bench, but wants to see the likes of Taumalolo respond to the loss of McLean.

Green responded to suggestions Taumalolo’s workload had dropped by saying he was hopeful this game would spark the Tongan international back to his best form.

“It’s early season, he’s come off a big World Cup, so we probably weren’t going to see his best footy right at the start of the year,” Green said.
