JOB REQUIRES BALLS OF STEEL

THE new sculpture with silver orbs near GCCEC has a great back story. It is the second such piece purchased for the city by the late developer Con Nikiforides with the other in the Oracle Boulevard. After the second unveiling, Con’s son William told us this tale. “When the first statue was unveiled at Oracle Dad looked up and said to me, “What do you think it takes to develop something as big as this?” Before I could answer he pointed at the glistening orbs in the sculpture and said with a huge grin, “Big steel balls!” Love it!
