Pies set to ditch Blues
COLLINGWOOD believe they can thrust aside concerns over a long injury list and an ever-changing forward line to help spark their season tomorrow night against Carlton.
Coach Nathan Buckley was yesterday brimming with optimism about “blue skies on the horizon” as Jordan De Goey and Jamie Elliott prepare to return in the VFL.
Ben Reid (hamstring) and Mason Cox (suspension) should play against the Blues.
Buckley was a beacon of calm yesterday, adamant if Collingwood bring their “brand” against Carlton, it will silence any outside noise.
But a 0-3 start to the season would be a disaster for the club’s finals chances and yet another rocky start under Buckley.
