JOB JUST NOT THE RIGHT FIT FOR JOBSON

-

MATT Jobson has found himself in an unusual situation after resigning as Tweed Heads Seagulls chief executive.

Jobson tendered his resignation last week, and despite a moment where he considered reversing his call, officially left the club on Monday.

So strongly did the ambitious former NRL player and property valuer feel that he stepped away with no Plan B in sight.

“I could have sat there for a period of time and looked for another job but I didn’t want to do the wrong thing by the club,” he told the Bulletin.

“I’m officially unemployed.” Jobson started in February but quickly realised his tenure may not be sustainable. “It just wasn’t a good fit for both the club and for me,” he said. “My management style didn’t suit them and staff and players weren’t receptive to me.

“I wish the club all the best.”
