BEAUDESERT WRAP WITH LADBROKES’ TOM HACKETT

WINNERS

Alle Vongole (Race 1)

Alle Vongole ($1.90 into $1.80) was backed as if unbeatable and it was a fairly painless watch for the punters that took the short odds. She found the lead comfortably and responded well when she was asked for an extra effort by Jackson Murphy. She should be able to work through the grades.

Who’s Your Daddy (Race 2) Who’s Your Daddy had this race won a long way from home. He received a beautiful run just behind the leader and he quickly put a couple of lengths on his rivals at the top of the straight. Jed Hodge was very easy on him late and the margin could have been even bigger.

Gwapo (Race 4)

There was a bit of a question mark over his ability to run out a strong 1400 metres, but there was plenty to like about the way that Gwapo found the line in the concluding stages of this contest. A lovely return to winning form. LOSERS

Soft Top (Race 6)

It wasn’t the best ride from Brooke Ainsworth and she was questioned by stewards after the race but Soft Top was still entitled to do more in the concluding stages. She was only able to battle past a couple of tired horses late.

All Gifts (Race 7)

All Gifts led from start to finish to win in impressive fashion last start but it all went wrong for him at Beaudesert. He reared badly at the start, almost dislodged jockey Luke Dittman and the race was over for him before it even began.

NEXT TIME

Johnny Be Quick (Race 3) Johnny Be Quick did plenty wrong but he was still only beaten by a narrow margin. He missed the start, over-raced and ended up very wide on the turn. There is no doubt he will win plenty of races if he is able to improve his racing manners.

Averna Mountain (Race 5) Averna Mountain was caught wide throughout this contest and she did a stack of work coming around the home bend. She was still in for the fight, but the tough run took its toll late and she was unable to go with Cruz de Vega.
