Adapting key for Matildas
MATILDAS star Sam Kerr says success has come at a cost – the Australians must now learn to deal with an old-school tactic that flourished in the opening match in Jordan yesterday.
The Matildas were forced to share the points in a 0-0 draw with South Korea in the opening Group B match of the AFC Asian Cup.
Australia was frustrated by their rivals planting 11 bodies behind the ball.
“It’s a new challenge. It’s only started happening in the last few months,” Kerr said.
