Wright given WA wildcard

AUSTRALIAN surfer Mikey Wright has been awarded his second wildcard of the year and will surf at the Margaret River Pro this week.

The youngest brother of the Wright clan, which includes world No.4 Owen and two-time world champion Tyler, caused a buzz at the recent Quiksilver Pro with his giantkilling ways. Wright earned a reputation as one of the most dangerous men in surfing when he took down a pair of world champions in John John Florence and Gabriel Medina.
