Jo’s surge earns gold

NEW Zealander Jo Edwards stormed back from a five-point deficit to earn her second Commonwealth Games gold in the women’s singles.

The Gold Coast-based Edwards, 48, appeared dead and buried in her clash against Wales’ Laura Daniels at Broadbeach last night but found a way through.
