HIGH FIVE FOR FAMILY COMMITMENT

- BRITT RAMSEY

THREE generations, five family members – all lovers of sport. And all involved in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

While their roles vary they’re all important links in the same chain.

Tiffany Sharp, originally applied as a volunteer, but jagged a full time role as a Dignitary Program Officer.

Her son, Matthew, was part of the Queen’s Baton Relay, travelling around the country for three months, in the lead-up to the Games.

“You’d hear some of the most amazing stories, and being able to share the experience with my family, it’s really fantastic,” he said.

The family’s patriarch, 80-year-old Digby Warren has been predominantly at the velodrome. “I wanted to just be part of it all,” Mr Warren said. “The rest of the family were in it, so why not me?”

And Tiffany’s niece Lisa and her son Hayden were both involved in the Opening Ceremony.
