Bail after 27 DV breaches

-

A GOLD Coast man who allegedly breached a domestic violence order 27 times in a matter of months has been granted bail.

The 36-year-old, who legally cannot be named, allegedly breached the order by trying to call the woman repeatedly in the past two months.

Defence lawyer Joe Wicking, of Howden Saggers Lawyers, said the man was calling the woman to try to arrange contact with his child.

A domestic violence order taken out last year stipulates the man not contact the woman.

Magistrate Donald MacKenzie granted the man bail and made it a condition of the bail the man not contact the woman.

The matter was adjourned to May 18.
