Fined $1k for staying in pub

A MAN has been fined more than $1000 for refusing to leave licensed premises in Byron Bay.

The 27-year-old Indooroopilly man was at the venue about 12.15am on April 1 and failed to leave after being involved in an altercation with another patron and security. Police issued a move-on direction and the man was excluded from the CBD for six hours. He was given an infringement notice, with a $1100 fine, for remaining in the area after being excluded.
