ASSAULT — BURLEIGH WATERS

A WOMAN was kicked to the ground during an assault at a hardware store at Burleigh Waters late last year.

Around 10.50am on December 9, a woman drove her car into the main bottom car park of the hardware store where she was accosted by a verbally abusive stranger as she exited her car.

The stranger followed the woman to the entrance of the store before allegedly kicking her leg, causing her to fall to the ground.

The woman suffered cuts and bruising to her leg.

Police believe the woman pictured can help them with informatio­n.

She is described as aged in her 30s, about 170cm tall, of solid build, wearing a navy and white floral top, dark exercise tights and sneakers.

THEFT — BIGGERA WATERS

POLICE are investigat­ing after alcohol was stolen from a Biggera Waters liquor store.

A woman entered the Oxley Drive business about 5.15pm on March 24 and took three bottles of spirits off the shelf and placed them in a bag.

The woman paid for a soft drink at the checkout but not for the liquor. A security guard then confronted her.

She handed over a bottle of gin and a bottle of vodka, but failed to produce a third bottle of tequila.

Police believe the woman pictured may have informatio­n and could help them with their investigat­ion.

She is described as caucasian, aged in her mid to late 30s, 165cm tall, heavily built with blonde hair. She wore a pink shirt, black shorts and hat at the time and had a Nike backpack. The woman was last seen on a bicycle.

THEFT — MOLENDINAR

POLICE are hunting a thief who stole a car from outside a camping store at Molendinar.

They say a man walked into the SouthportN­erang Road store at 5.15pm on February 27, wandered through a number of aisles looking at items and then entered a staffroom at the rear of the store, where he took a female employee’s handbag.

A set of car keys within the handbag opened a white Hyundai Accent parked outside, which was taken.

The car has not been found.

Police want to talk with the man pictured. They believe he may have informatio­n relating to the investigat­ion.

He is described as aged 35 to 40, caucasian, 170-180cm tall with a medium build. At the time he was wearing a black Nike cap and shirt, charcoal-coloured gym shorts and runners.
