AUSTRALIA has produced some remarkable female athletes. Looking over the guest list at the Women in Sport lunch at Longines Records Club and you realise what a great contribution they have made to the pride of our nation. Mostly they were underpaid and underfunded but always over performed with rarely a hint of scandal as opposed to the other side of the sporting ledger. More power to them.
