Nothing to fear here

WHEN Usain Bolt was asked if he saw the alleged glassing and brief fight in Sin City nightclub while he was there spinning tunes, he said he didn’t – he was having too much of a good time to notice.

I’m not surprised. It happened right beside me and I barely saw it either. It was Wham! Bam! Security guards! Damn! As in damn that was quick. It was was virtually over before it had started.

At the time, I thought little of it. Turned out it was more than that. But is it going to stop me going out in Surfers Paradise? No. In four years living here I’ve seen two fights – including that one. As Games Minister Kate Jones says, don’t be afraid to get amongst it.
