Croft not only one in the crosshairs

-

MELBOURNE coach Craig Bellamy insists other Storm players may follow Brodie Croft back to the NRL club’s feeder side if their attitude doesn’t improve against Newcastle tonight.

Following the demotion of the halfback to Queensland’s Intrust Super Cup and the Storm’s three losses from five games, Bellamy says some players have been warned.

“There’s been a couple of guys put on notice,” he said. “There’s a couple who need to do their job a bit better.”

Bellamy said that 20-yearold Croft had been given specific instructions about what he needed to work on when he runs out for Easts Tigers against the Northern Pride in the televised match of the round tomorrow.

“He knows there’s things he has to work on, that I don’t want to go public with,” Bellamy said.

Ryley Jacks gets his chance at halfback.

Meanwhile, Paul McGregor has told his high-flying Dragons to embrace the Origin hype, with several of his charges on the cusp of representative selection. At 5-0 heading into tonight’s derby with Cronulla, the Dragons can be confident.
