THE Opals have had one eye on the future during their Games campaign.
Australia has dominated Mozambique, Canada and England in the pool matches to advance to tonight’s semi-final against New Zealand with Liz Cambage the standout performer.
But in blooding Ezi Magbegor, 18, the Opals are preparing their next spearhead.
Cambage became the face of the team after the retirement of Lauren Jackson, and Magbegor – the WNBL rookie of the year – is being lined up to take over from her.
