Gabor assets go to auction
ALMOST 1000 items from the estate of Hungarian actor and socialite Zsa Zsa Gabor have been auctioned off, 16 months after her death.
A portrait of Gabor by US artist Margaret Keane sold yesterday for $US45,000 ($58,000), while a Steinway grand piano dating from 1927, which Gabor bought with her third husband George Sanders, fetched $US24,000.
Among the cheaper souvenirs was a pill prescription bottle with her name on it that sold for $US1000. A diamond necklace with the word “Dahling” brought $US20,000.
