GOLD COAST WRAP WITH LADBROKES’ TOM HACKETT

-

WINNERS

Perfect Style (Race 1)

The punter who had $15,384 on Perfect Style at $7.50 never broke into a sweat as the former NSW horse led all the way for an easy win.

Perdu (Race 4)

Perdu ($7.50-$5) was wellsupported with Ladbrokes and it was an easy watch for punters who backed the Time Thief gelding. Matthew Paget gave him an excellent run in transit and he looked like the winner a long way from home.

Dauphin de France (Race 6) Dauphin de France promised plenty as a young horse and he is starting to live up to his potential. He got a long way back but he travelled into the race nicely and he showed a lovely turn-of-foot when asked for an extra effort. He should be even better over further. LOSERS

Don’t Say No (Race 1)

Don’t Say No ($1.90 into $1.75) was heavily supported by punters in what was her first run since July but she never looked like catching Perfect Style. She didn’t exactly savage the line and it could be a while before she starts another race odds-on.

Boom Boom Epic (Race 5) Few horses at the Gold Coast have been as heavily backed with Ladbrokes this year and there was a couple of $10,000 bets placed on the Sebring filly. She laid in badly when put under pressure and Oneness ran away from her late.

Ruby Red Heart (Race 7) Daniel Griffin gave Ruby Red Heart a great ride and when he peeled her out at the top of the straight she looked set to run away with the race but she didn’t have a great deal in the tank and a couple of roughies were able to finish over the top of her late.

NEXT TIME

A Little Bit More (Race 3)

A Little Bit More was blocked for a run at the top of the straight and had to take a couple of narrow gaps. She was still able to find the line nicely in what was easily the best performance of her racing career to date.

Ten Taubada’s (Race 8)

El Shaday was able to pinch the way at the top of the straight but Ten Taubada’s was able to keep on finding the line. He finished well clear of the rest of the field and he is a lightly raced horse that still has plenty of upside. BIG BETS
