LOOKING BACK ON GAMES

The Commonwealth Games has inspired a whole new generation of sports fans on the Gold Coast and around the nation

-

THESE past few weeks might have gone by in a flash, but the Commonwealth Games are already at an end.

For thousands of athletes and spectators, it’s been the source of memories that will last a lifetime.

The same goes for local youngsters, who lined up over the past few weeks to meet their heroes, strut their stuff

and try their hand at the events.

Some even got the chance to show off their skills in front of a royal audience, as the Prince of Wales touched down for the opening ceremony.

As the Coast settles back into its everyday routine and we set our sights on Birmingham in 2022, it’s time to look back on the best and brightest of our Gold Coast students.
