LADLEY TO THE FORE IN SEARCH OF CROWNS

-

MERMAID Waters’ Britt Ladley will spearhead the local charge at the Queensland Bodyboarding Titles.

With the best two of two results being accumulated to decide overall Queensland champions and state team allocations for 2018, the action will be hot in the second and final event on the Gold Coast.

This weekend’s draw has the best local bodyboarders lining up to battle it out with those travelling south from the Sunshine Coast.

While veteran bodyboarder Adam Keegan headlines the Sunshine Coast crew, Ladley leads the local contigent.

Ladley already has numerous Australian titles under her belt and will have her sights set on locking in another state crown and booking a spot at nationals.

With a win at the opening event on the Sunshine Coast in February, her job is already half done.

The Queensland Bodyboard Titles are the state’s premier bodyboarding event series and provide the exclusive pathway for athletes vying for a spot in the 2018 Queensland team set to compete at the national titles as part of the Australia Surf Festival later this year.

This weekend’s event will see athletes compete across a total of eight individual divisions ranging from under14s through to the open men.
