OFFSHORE: Excellent conditions predicted to continue. Wahoo moving in closer to shore throughout the season, spanish mackerel still around. Schools of tuna appearing around 18 fathoms out. Snapper wider out, and blue marlin caught occasional­ly further out from that.

BROADWATER: Good weather conditions expected to continue towards the weekend. Garfish and whiting both seen around the northern side of Wavebreak Island. Bream appearing in the Seaway, and mangrove jack still nearby, close to bridge pylons and sea walls.

FRESHWATER: Whiting, bass and flathead in the upper reaches, with whiting and flathead in particular down towards Tweed Heads. Garfish and trevally also appearing in the same area around Tweed, expected to continue and improve in the next few months. Mud crabs still common on river banks.
