Clubs head for D’bah

AUSTRALIA’S best 24 boardriding clubs are heading to the Gold Coast this week to compete in the Sailor Jerry Surftag Australian Championships at Duranbah Beach.

After finishing in third at the Queensland and Northern NSW qualifier, Cabarita have named Jason Jameson in their five-man team replacing team captain Brent Savage.

Jameson, a former winner of the Burleigh Single Fin event, joins Dan Sinclair, Tim Chalmers, Chad Harvey and Max Tobin in the team when competition begins on Friday.

Kingscliff have named the same team that reached the semi finals at the Surftag Qualifier, with Mitch James, Robbie Rickard, Dane Jordan, Brad King and Tate Robinson taking on the country’s best boardriding clubs.
