Gas leak shutdown

PARTS of Surfers Paradise were closed off by police last night while emergency services dealt with a gas leak.

Police closed the stretch of Surfers Paradise Boulevard between Cypress Avenue and View Avenue after a leak was discovered in a gas main shortly after 5pm.

TrasnsLink was forced to temporarily close the Cypress Ave bus stop in both directions while multiple fire crews and gas technicians assessed the situation.
