Man serious after shock

-

A MAN was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition yesterday after falling and suffering an electric shock at a workplace in Stapylton.

At about 12pm, the man, believed to be in his 40s, was working at Precision Powdercoating and Sand Blasting on Christensen Rd when he fell.

The contract worker was fixing the electrics in an oven at the time and was not employed by the workplace.

An employee named Nathan, who declined to reveal his surname, called emergency services after hearing the man fall. “None of us saw what happened,” Nathan said. “We asked him if he’d been electrocuted and he said he didn’t know, he was probably concussed. We were just concerned.”

The man was treated on scene for a head injury before being taken to Princess Alexander Hospital in Brisbane.
