Mum jailed for tot deaths

A NORTH Texas mother whose two toddlers died in a hot car last May has been sentenced to two 20-year prison terms to be served simultaneously.

Cynthia Marie Randolph received the maximum sentences yesterday.

An arrest warrant says Ms Randolph told police she locked one-year-old Cavanaugh Ramirez and two-yearold Juliet Ramirez in the car for several hours in 35C to teach them a lesson because her daughter often got out of the car without permission.

Temperatures in the car could have reached 60C.
