PM, Surfers. I believe the blue lines are staying as a reminder of the marathon course. Anyway, does it matter? PaulJ.

The Coles advertising slogan is that prices are down down down. The Coles management would not have wanted include their petrol prices as they are up up up. Bob, Labrador.

Equality for women is so out of hand. Look at the news on TV – all stations have more women than men, sports shows women as main reporter, most of them have never played the game. Most ridiculous one is SBS, 3 male international players being backed up to a woman. Now they want to lead the Anzac Day march. It’s a complete utter load of “you know what”.

From Burleigh Heads to Barwon Heads, Geebung to Geelong, we love the Bully.

Our politicians should adopt education neutral policies just like they apply budget neutrality. Why load up our education system in the first place? Added expense and teacher effort without paring it back to the basics and culling all the noncore frippery that bogs it down.

Singapore, Queenstown NZ, Cairns just a few places with wonderful cableways. Why is Gold Coast so backward. Too many Nimbys for sure!

I never rubbished Aussies’ contribution in their battles with the Japanese. I only stated that they could not have saved Australia on their own. And yes I was born here, Redrum. May read a lot of war stories but I watch a lot of history channels. The Dominator.

Mark. Why would you refuse to march next year? Does it matter in what order you march? To all service men and women. I applaud you, wherever you march on the day ... a huge thank you.

Just wanted to send a huge thanks to the young man (fire officer?) who gave me a bottle of water at the Upper Coomera Village Anzac Day ceremony and the wonderful lady that undid the lid for me! My hands were busy holding a TV camera and it was a hot morning so I appreciated it so much. Thank you! John.

Just wondering ... why doesn’t the council just make it a condition of sale of Bruce Bishop that any new development must include the same number of public car spaces? Mk.

Why is it that people whining why we need Day Light Savings are southerners, aka Mexicans, trying to take over. Things are going fine without

it, thanks. We all like doing our thing before we go to work. JJ.

Hey Dominator, my father fought in navy in WWII, based mainly in Darwin and New Guinea, the Australian navy stopped the invasion from Japanese onto Australian shores Get ya facts correct.

Hey Susan, if the Gold Coast is about sun, sand and surf you better let Tom know with all his high-rise approvals.

Re: story 30 April. I could not believe what I was seeing sitting in medical centre, patients were taken through as if they were on a fast track belt. Hundreds of dollars per hour. No care there for the patients, just dollar signs. Nan.

So much for local govt being the voice of the people. Council has refused to accept the 38,000 signatures on a petition to save Black Swan Lake. Just pathetic, GCCC.

All the complaints about poor education system ... how can it improve when teachers have to spend time teaching many children who can’t understand English. It’s no wonder education standards are down.

Hooray. The cableway into the Hinterland is back on the table. This is so exciting. We will have another way that tourists can appreciate the green behind the gold. Now all we need is a cruise ship terminal.

Hey Carrara kid, you are spot on with trams going to Metricon. Went to Titans game on Saturday night with 12 thousand spectators leaving the stadium with only buses and cabs to get us home. No parking at game. This would make getting home a whole lot easier and quicker.

So we don’t need a Southbank. So we don’t need a Cairns pool complex. We have nets that let the sharks in then keep them in. Our council is inept. Keep our children safe. Provide safe swimming for our children. Glyn.

Watching the union ads on TV. Very hard to have any sympathy when we all saw the problems they created on some of the Games sites.

I wonder if Rafael Nadal was fined for not showering before his post-match swim in Barcelona.

Gay proposal on The Voice, Omg. The ruination of a good show. Got nothing against gays, but just don’t want it in my face. How embarrassing. Shezz.

Support our local newsagents! Bugger Lottoland, keep our Aussie dollars in OZ. Mick .

Council, can we have a guarantee that our children are safe inside your nets. I think the council need to get out more, and see what is happening in the world.
