Voller faces court over bomb hoax
“STOLENWEALTH Games” protester Dylan Voller faced accusation of staging a bomb hoax during the Commonwealth Games marathon in the Southport Magistrates Court yesterday.
Voller, 21, was charged last week with threatening the bomb hoax and is charged with threatening a bomb hoax and breach of bail.
It was the second time Voller has appeared in the Southport Magistrates Court in just two days after appearing on Tuesday to face a public nuisance charge relating to protests at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games.
Defence barrister Mitchell Rawlings, instructed by Benedict Coyne, requested a mental health report be prepared ahead of the next appearance.
Magistrate Donald MacKenzie adjourned the matter to July 5.
Outside court Mr Coyne declined to comment of Voller’s behalf.
“My client will be exercising his rights to defend his rights fully,” he said.
“We have significant concerns about the commercial media’s reporting to date.”
Voller’s legal team is also waiting to see the footage of the opening ceremony protests. That matter was adjourned to June 12. Bulletin
