FISHING

TWEED: Whiting and tailor are further down the beaches, towards Pottsville and Kingscliff. Flathead, bream and trevally also seen around the Tweed region.

BROADWATER: Sand crabs along the beaches towards Sovereign Islands and Paradise Point. Squid on high tide, around the Seaway walls, Grand Jetty and Southport pier, also north of Wavebreak Island. Greenback tailor seen around the Jumpinpin Bar.

OFFSHORE: Snapper and Spanish mackerel being caught, snapper beginning to be seen 24 fathoms out as they move in to the closer reefs throughout the season. Also on the 24 fathom reefs, squire and yellowfin tuna lingering around the same area.
