THIS year marks the 30th anniversary of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show. During that time the urbane Barry Jenkins has been on the bridge so to speak helping to navigate the course. When we asked him what had been a highlight of those years we expected an answer praising a particular super yacht but not so. “Every year has been remarkable but my favourite was in 2014 when Penelope Wensley AC, then the Governor of Queensland, officially opened the show. She brought such style and pizzazz and stunned everyone with her in-depth knowledge of the marine industry and its significant export capability that we were all left spellbound,” said Barry.
