Stockwell calls for a pack lift

- CONNOR O’BRIEN

GOLD Coast prop Jack Stockwell says he and his fellow Titans forwards have a tough task on their hands to distribute the weekly workload Jai Arrow churns through.

Arrow has been sensational during the opening nine rounds, playing above his weight to average 26 tackles and 140 running metres.

He won’t be in action tomorrow, however, after being ruled out due to a rib injury that saw him taken to hospital during the side’s loss to Canberra last weekend.

“We’ll miss him, definitely,” said Stockwell.

“The boys will have to share the workload around a bit more since Jai is not there … but we have got some quality players there that will step up and fill his shoes so I am quite confident.”

Stockwell is set to make his fifth appearance of the season for the Titans after being named on the bench to face Melbourne.
